- Assessment: Student takes a pre-assessment diagnostic exam to benchmark their exposure to various networking topics.
- Planning: Based on pre-assessment feedback and learner preferences, students create a learning path that utilizes the breadth of the curriculum to obtain the necessary education and exposure.
- Learning: Students participate in lessons, read materials, and work with subject matter experts to gain understanding and knowledge on topics in which they need to develop competencies.
- Practice: Student then takes the concepts learned and utilizes practice exercises that will expose them to real-world configurations by applying these topics in actual scenarios.
- Review: By utilizing the formative assessments, students can then measure their understanding and validate their application and usage of the various approaches to solving network problems with the technologies.
- Mastery: Utilizing the reference material, answer keys, and best practices, students can then review their work product and hone their skills.
No other program provides the combination of challenging, integrated expert level curriculum, real-life scenarios, and a 360-degree approach to learning. The program is authorized by Cisco and students can be assured that the curriculum is current and aligned with the latest Cisco products, services, and technologies.
Candidate Requirements
There are no formal prerequisites for participation in the Cisco 360 Learning Program for CCIE Routing and Switching, although professional-level networking skills are assumed. Students should have a minimum three to five years prior experience as a network engineer.
Fast Lane offers a pre-assessment (available via the Fast Lane Learning Center) that allows candidates to verify if they are ready for the program.
In addition, the program itself begins with a pre-assessment lab to identify any gaps in the student’s foundational skills and knowledge. The results will provide a baseline of performance as students begin their CCIE preparation effort.
